Sonia Campa Juarez

Our dear mother, Sonia Campa Juarez sadly passed away on Sunday September 17th, 2023, at the age of 75. She was a wonderful mother who always cared for, provided for, and loved her two children. She was an educator for over 30 years and taught thousands of students at Harlandale ISD. Many remember her as their favorite teacher. She was willing to be a mom to anyone that ever needed one. A beautiful example of a selfless, generous, and nurturing woman. In addition, she had many friends who loved her companionship. She started as a teacher, eventually becoming a principal, and retired as the director of elementary education, predeceased by her sister Veronica (Niki) Mettrick, mother Mary Gallo Campa, and father, Rosendo Campa. She is survived by her daughter Renee C. Juarez and son, Nicholas M. Juarez. In addition, her sister Norma Campa, brothers Mark Campa, and Gregg Campa. She also has many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Sonia’s mission in life was to impact every student through education, but more importantly, love. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested to send money in her name to:
