William J Rubio gained his heavenly wings on May 26, 2022 at 8:50 pm the eve of his 78th birthday. He was very proud of his football days as a Lineman for the Fox Tech Buffalos in 1962. He was a loving husband to Aurora Rubio for 58 years and would have celebrated 59 years on June 1st, 2022. Together they had three children, William Rubio Jr., Laura Rubio and Beverly Rubio. He had 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother Gilbert Rubio Jr. and wife Aurora Rubio, sister Nancy Jackson and husband Lawerance Jackson and his sister Rebecca Mazuca along with numerous nieces and nephews. We were blessed to have such an amazing grandpa that raised us as his own thank you Grandpa for stepping in to be the dad that we didn’t have.Love Cristilla, Billy, Guerro, Vanessa and Dominick.
A visitation for William will be held Friday, June 3, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205, followed by a rosary service at 7:00 PM.
