

Susan Leona Walsdorf will be remembered for her love of the outdoors, her deep devotion to family, and her warm, steady presence in the lives of those who knew her. She found joy in simple, meaningful moments—casting a fishing line, spending long days hunting in nature, tending to her garden, and sharing stories and laughter with loved ones.
Susan especially cherished time spent with her family, creating memories that will be held close for generations. She also enjoyed traveling, always eager to explore new places and experiences while appreciating the beauty of the world around her.
Her kindness, strength, and appreciation for life’s everyday blessings left a lasting impression on family and friends. Susan’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the many moments of care, laughter, and togetherness she shared.
Susan is survived by her sister, Kathryn Costilla (Juan); John Martin Walsdorf; her nieces and nephews, Kristy Perales (David), Amanda Costilla, Samantha Costilla, Carol Walsdorf (Steven), Abigail Walsdorf, Juan Costilla III (Mabel), Larry Costilla (Kristi), John Walsdorf, William Walsdorf, and Brian Walsdorf; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Rebekah, Braxton, Joseph, Levi, Mason, Cooper, Christopher, John, Tucker, Reed, Wyatt, Alyssa, and Liam.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Leona Walsdorf, and her nephew, Stephen Walsdorf.
Susan’s kindness, strength, and love for life will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta & Memorial Park, located at 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, Texas, 78586, on January 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A rosary will also take place at the same venue on January 5, 2026, starting at 7:00 pm.
