Tomas proudly served his country in the United States Army, a chapter of his life that shaped the strength, discipline, and loyalty he carried with him throughout his years. A devoted father, grandfather, and friend, Tomas will be remembered most for the warmth of his heart and the joy he brought to everyone around him.
He was a man of many passions — he loved cooking for his family, getting his hands dirty working on cars, and never missed a chance to cheer on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, no matter the season. But above all, Tomas found his greatest joy in being with his children and grandchildren. His laugh, his stories, and his steadfast presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Tomas leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and service — a man who lived fully and gave generously. He is survived by his beloved children, grandchildren, and all those who were lucky enough to know him.
He is survived by his children; Tomas Ponce (Yolanda), Lisa Marie Barrera, Cynthia B. Cabrera (Cliff), Aurora Ortiz, Isabel Ortiz, Sony C.
