Mrs. Elizabeth Creel Ballew, formerly of Sandy Springs, was born May 24, 1927 in College Park, GA and died April 3, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ballew and her brother Weyman Creel. Survivors include her sons David Ballew and his wife Nancy of Southlake, TX; Mark Ballew and his wife Lisa of Fernandina Beach, FL; grandchildren, Baker Ballew of West Palm Beach, FL, Betsy Ballew of Fernandina Beach, Ll. Annie Ballew, Bo Ballew, and Matt Ballew of Southlake, TX. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 7, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel. Dr. Ken Ray will officiate. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Sandy Springs United Methodist Church, 86 Mt. Vernon Hwy. Sandy Springs, GA 30328 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, GA 30346. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel Funeral Directors, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy, NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
