Ester Cabardo, a devoted wife, beloved mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on May 11, 1943, in Tanza, Cavite, Philippines, Ester lived a life centered on love, faith, family, and generosity of spirit.
She was the devoted wife of Rodolfo Cabardo, with whom she shared many years of marriage and built a family grounded in care and dedication. She is survived by her children, Estela Cabardo (Jen), Denice Cabardo (Bobot), Jeanette (Jinky), and Ryan, who will forever carry her lessons of compassion and perseverance in their hearts. Her grandchildren, Jibben and Megan Rae, were the joy of her later years, and she delighted in nurturing them, celebrating their milestones, and taking immense pride in their achievements. She also leaves behind her beloved in-laws, Benilda (Benil) and Reynaldo (Rey), who became part of her extended circle of love.
Ester’s life was marked by dedication and accomplishment. She graduated from Centro Escolar University with a Doctor of Optometry degree, establishing a thriving practice in the Philippines before immigrating to the United States. Even as she pursued her career with excellence, she remained defined by her kindness, generosity, and gentle strength.
Beyond her professional life, Ester’s true gift was in creating a home where everyone felt welcome. She had a deep passion for cooking, especially the flavors of her Filipino heritage, which she shared with family and friends around the table. She loved to travel and experience the beauty of the world, yet she found just as much joy in the simple pleasures of watching her favorite Filipino shows on TFC. Her nurturing spirit was most evident in the way she cared for her family—always present, always encouraging, and always ready with a warm embrace or thoughtful word.
Ester will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but also for her enduring legacy of love. Her life was a testament to the strength of a mother’s devotion, the warmth of a grandmother’s embrace, and the quiet but profound impact of a life lived with kindness.
Her family and all who knew her will forever treasure her memory, carrying forward the lessons she imparted and the love she so freely gave.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt Vernon Highway, Sandy Springs, GA 30328, followed by a funeral vigil from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
