Frank served in the Navy Reserve as an Aerial Photographer from 1950 to 1959.
He began his first entrepreneurial venture at the age of 20 by starting a supply business which he sold some nine years later. He has owned several different businesses over the years and built and managed two commercial real estate properties. In his later years, he always said he was working for the Lord and wanted to give to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He didn't believe in retirement. He was a workaholic.
He loved teaching the senior men's Sunday School Class at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church for over 20 years. He loved the Word of God and believed it to be God's Final Authority, the only truth.
He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Lettie B. Locke Nixon, his daughter Eugena Anne Nixon Wood, and two Granddaughters and four Great Grand Children.
