I still miss you. 
Inge was her own person. The expressions on her face said it all. She could “play along” until her own, wonderfully stubborn and sardonic, character came out. That impish grin was my favorite.  

The Highton's are praying for comfort and support for the Delaney Family. Francine has been connected with us for a long time and we are devestaded that she has lost yet another loved one. Francine, you have had so much sorrow in your life, but you never seem to be destroyed by it; you keep marching on with your head up. We are praying for the peace that only God can bring to you. Please rest assurred that your Mom is with God and reunited with your Dad and having a great time with Tim. 
Smile, you are loved.

My heartfelt prayers to the family during this difficult time.  May you find comfort that she is in a better place.  

Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our list ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy. 

Inge was the kind of woman who always had your back. She was a STRONG woman, a kind woman, and a smart-butt woman. 
She could make you crack up with just an expression.
This is a beautiful gift.
Her words could cut...but more often than not they were said in a way that made you just crack up.
She gave me more laughter than most people and for this, I will be forever grateful.
Aunt Inge was never judgmental of me and that meant the world.
She supported me when I got divorced.
She supported me when I got remarried, and this time to a woman.
She gave no judgments. No harsh words. She simply accepted us and welcomed my wife into the family.
There are not many people who are this unjudgemental and loving.
She was one of a kind and will be missed.
Thank you Aunt Inge for believing in love, in me, and being such a beautiful soul.
I am grateful you are now with Oma, Ota, my dad, and your husband...I just wish we could have had you a little longer.
You will be missed.


Aunt Inge was my favorite aunt. She took me under her wing when I used to work at my father's (her brother's) law firm as a young teenager. I had no idea what I was doing -- I was just the "boss' kid" -- but she treated me like I was actually making a contribution there.

She took me out to lunch at the Sundial restaurant, which was the fanciest restaurant I had ever gone to. That's where I developed my love for banana bread. To this day, I think about our lunch at the Sundial whenever I eat a slice of banana bread. No matter how many fancy restaurants I go to today, no visit is as special to me as that first one with my Aunt Inge, who saw me as more than just a pesky niece underfoot at her place of business.
