

Jim graduated from Dykes High School in Atlanta, GA, and furthered his education at the University of West Georgia.
Jim built a fulfilling career in the group insurance benefits field, contributing his expertise to several companies across Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina. Beyond his professional endeavors, Jim was deeply passionate about a variety of hobbies. He was an Eagle Scout, an amateur motorcycle racer, and enjoyed camping, sailing, extensive international travel, golf, and woodworking. An adept billiards player and an all-around handyman, Jim embraced challenges that allowed him to work with his hands and explore the outdoors. He spent the majority of his adult years raising a loving family in Marietta, GA, as well as Charlotte, Weddington, and Jamestown, NC.
Jim's life was enriched by his family, who remain as a testament to his love and strength. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Marlow; son-in-law, Bill Marlow; grandchildren, Hope and Jackson Marlow; son, Bryan Rapp; daughter-in-law, Bobbi Rapp; granddaughter, Stella Rapp; and nephew, Jim Preacher. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Sheri Rapp; mother, Hope Rapp; sister, Frederica Preacher; and sister, Pamela Rapp.
Inurnment services for Jim will be held at Roswell United Methodist Church on July 27th. Jim's life and legacy will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
