A vibrant woman with an effortless laugh, she had a warmth and authenticity that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Those fortunate enough to know her remember her as someone who formed genuine connections and showed deep interest in others—helping so many feel special and seen. Guided by her faith and unwavering love for her family, Kathy was a radiant presence: joyful, confident, kind, and full of wisdom and peace.
Born in Chicago, Kathy was raised by her mother, Edith, and her Sicilian immigrant father, Calogero. Though she didn’t have siblings, her lifelong friend Ruthie was like a sister to her. Kathy was a devoted mother to her sons, Brock and John, and a loving grandmother to Kristi and Daniel, and their spouses, David and Margaret. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Remy, Rose, Elio, and Nathan. She forged a deep connection with her extended Sicilian family after her father passed away and maintained many lifelong friendships across the world.
Kathy had a fulfilling career in sales, where she thrived in leadership and mentoring others. After retiring, she found purpose in volunteering at Chastain Horse Park, supporting equine-facilitated therapy programs for veterans and individuals with disabilities. She was also a dedicated member of Mount Paran Church of God and the Sandy Springs community.
Kathy will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will continue to honor her memory by living out her legacy of love and peace.
"I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
— Psalm 16:8
