Kenneth Donald Strickland

Mr. Kenneth Donald Strickland, 70, of Marietta, Ga., passed away on January 25, 2012. He is preceded in death by Hugh L. and Elizabeth P. Strickland. He is survived by Cherry Ann, his life partner of 49 years, daughters, Cherry Lynn Strickland Howard of Lawrenceville, and Cynthia Leigh Strickland of Canton; brother, Robert David Strickland and wife, Helen of Hampton; niece, Jennifer Leigh Clanton and her son, Ryan of Locust Grove; nephew, Robert David Strickland, Jr. and wife, Mindy, and their daughters, Morgan and Taylor Hill of Barnesville; Aunt Dorcas Eidson Sexton of Zellwood, Fla., Aunt Nell Maiolatesi of Carrollton, God Granddaughter, Elena Ivette Delgado of Lawrenceville, and other family, and friends. Kenneth graduated from Forest Park High School in 1959 and had a 36 year career with Southern Bell/BellSouth and was an active member of The Georgia Chapter of Telephone Pioneers of America. Kenneth will be cremated, with a Memorial service on February 11, 2012 at 2:00pm which will be held at the Sandy Springs Chapel, 404-255-8511. The family will receive guests before the Memorial service from 12:30 to 2:00. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity in Kenneth’s name.
