Lenice W. Mahoney

Lenice W. Mahoney, longtime resident of Marietta, died May 4, 2014 at Williamson Medical Center, Franklin, Tennessee. She was born November 26, 1920, in Giles County, Tennessee, daughter of the late E.R. and Lily Worsham. She was preceded in death by her husband John J. Mahoney, and brothers Will Edmond (Masel and Katholean) Worsham and Dean (Evelyn) Worsham.

She served her country in the US Army as a nurse at Ft. McClellan, Alabama and West Point, New York during World War II and later continued her nursing career at Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga, and Veterans Hospital in Atlanta.

She is survived by extended family and many friends.

The family will receive friends at Chestnut Ridge Christian Church, 2663 Johnson Ferry Rd., Marietta, GA 30062, on Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 with the funeral following at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park.
