Dear Dr Nemeroff’s Family ~ I was extremely saddened to hear the news of Dr. Nemeroff’s passing.  I was a patient at Northside earlier this year and Dr. Nemeroff was by far the most compassionate and caring physician who has ever treated me.  He put extra time and energy into diagnosing my challenging case correctly and treated me and my husband with the utmost respect and care.  I was planning on writing him a thank-you note and learned of this news so I thought this was the best way to express our gratitude.  We are so sorry for your loss.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am sending sincerest condolences from many of us in Idaho, who spent time with Mark and his family along the Payette river canyon where they lived in the summers.  My sister, Julia Uberuaga, (currently in Antarctica) considered the Nemeroffs outstanding people and valued her time with them every summer, hanging out in the water, hiking up the pass, on bicycles or just watching the river go by. Mark has been a friend since medical school and we both worked at Northside Hospital together.  We shared a great love for snow skiing and always compared resorts and runs. News of Mark's death was a terrible blow to me. I had so many great discussions about his kayak journeys and sat in envy of his skills and adventures. He sold me his beginner kayak a few years ago and my family enjoyed learning the rudiments of the sport at Lake Nottely. I will deeply miss his stories and will always remember his friendly character. God bless you, Mark.

I was privelaged to work alongside Mark at Northside Hospital for 6 1/2 years....I had some of the most memorable and though provoking discussions with him after a long day of rounding....he always challenged me to think...he was kind and compassionate and a true family man..his time was too short but his memory will live forever....his Memorial Service was a testament to how much he was loved!!!!

I HAVE HAD THE PRIVLEGE OF WORKING WITH DR NEMEROFF FOR MANY YEARS AT NORTHSIDE. I KNOW THAT I HAVE BECOME A BETTER NURSE AND PATIENT ADVOCATE BECAUSE OF HIM.

I met Dr. Nemeroff the day he started working at Northside.Over the years, he took care of me once when I was hospitalized as well as my mother. He was filled with kindness and compassion and will never be forgotten. My sympathy goes out to his family at this most difficult time.

I knew Mark over 20 years ago and loved him very much.  He always challenged me to be independent and think for myself and I thank him for the impact he has made on my life. Thanks for always being a bright light for me here at Northside Hospital.  The assistance and guidance you gave to me as a nurse practitioner made me feel like one of the team.  Your constant smile and openness made it easy for me to approach you and ask a medical question without any fear, even though I was on a different service.  You are missed and thank you for being a part of my life here at Northside.
