

Mildred R. Head of Sandy Springs, GA, died peacefully at Vanderbilt Hospital on Sunday, September 5, 2010. She received her Master’s Degree from Indiana University, after receiving her Master’s Degree she became a voice coach and well loved mentor. She was a classically trained singer and music teacher in Fulton County Schools and touched the lives of many children. She was a long time member and elder of Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church. Her giving, kind and generous nature will be missed by all who knew her. “Grammie Millie”, beloved mother and grandmother is survived by her children, LeAnn K. Blanchard of Atlanta, John H. Head, Jr. of Douglasville, GA, and Julian R. Head of Franklin, TN and her grandchildren Abby, Sarah, and Emma Head, Audrey Blanchard, Victoria Rose, Sonny and Andy Head. She is dearly loved by all her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to be a part of her life. A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel on Mt. Vernon Hwy. The service will be held on Thursday September 9, 2010 at 10:00 am at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Sandy Springs followed by a graveside service at Arlington Memorial Park.
