He was the husband of Dorothy Jeanette (Jan) and father of Marsha Egbert (Paul), Debbie Brewer (Danny), Vickie Barry (John), and Mark Gorman (Donna). He is survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and brother, Donald. He was born is Cragford, Alabama, on January 25, 1933. He grew up in Cedartown, Georgia, and graduated from Cedartown High School. He went to Georgia State and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in insurance and real estate. He worked for Fulton Federal Savings and Loan and SouthTrust Bank. He was a member of Wieuca Road Baptist Church. He lived in Sandy Springs for 49 years where he was very active in his community. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club for over 50 years, a member of the Dot Benson Senior Center, Keep Sandy Springs Beautiful, and very active in the Sandy Springs Festival, especially the Pet Parade, for 25 years. He was also an Eagle Scout. He made a New Year’s resolution many years ago to always do something special to make someone’s day and make them smile. He was loved and respected by so many people. His nickname was Old Goat, and he was a very loveable Old Goat. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, traveling, photography and reading books. He loved and cherished his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor, loved music and dancing, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Funeral Services for Milton Gorman will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel. Rev. David Shivers will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Committal services will be held immediately following the funeral service in Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, Ga.
