Robert was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin to John and Clara Beck. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1959, served with the USAF – Strategic Air Command from 1959-1962. He married Susan (Quartermont) Beck on May 20, 1967.
He worked at Allis Chalmers in the marketing department and moved to Chicago, Illinois when the company merged as Fiat-Allis. In 1985 he moved to Marietta, GA as VP of Operations and retired in 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Beck, his brother Raymond Beck, sister-in-law Tina Beck and nephews Peter and Paul Beck, sister-in-law Norine Krueger and nephew Brandon Krueger.
A memorial service will be held at gravesite at Arlington Memorial Park on Saturday, April 13 at 1:30 pm.
In lieu of Flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
