Ruth A. Scherer, 97, died March 25, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband, Lester E. Scherer, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Lester E. Scherer, Jr. (Marlo) and Mark D. Scherer (Deborah); grandchildren, Jennifer Dyer (Josh), Laura Vieth (Marius), and Stephanie Mitchell (David); and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt Vernon Hwy, Sandy Spring, GA 30328. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 1155 N. Highland Ave, NE, Atlanta, GA 30306. The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice and her loving caregiver Doris Larrison for their care and support during this time.
