Stuart Livian Johnson, age 75, of Dunwoody, GA, passed away on May 13, 2014. He died from a fall six years ago causing brain damage ultimately leading to Lewy Body Disease. Stu was born July 31, 1938 in Louisville, KY to Richard and Katherine Johnson. He graduated from Manual High School, attended University of Kentucky and graduated from Murray State University. His career began as a Research Physicist at American Air Filter and Union Carbide before moving to Georgia and starting his own company, Dixie Filters. He was a successful businessman, an avid golfer and loved to travel the world. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Jane Arterburn Johnson, of 56 years, his children Lysa Romine and Brett Johnson, grandchildren Justin, Nicholas and Hayley and his brother Scott Johnson and family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church, Suthers Center for Christian Outreach, 3550 Broad Street, Suite F Chamblee, GA 30341. Graveside Memorial Services will be held Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 2 o’clock in Arlington Memorial Park.
