Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the age of 94.
Born in Santa Paula, California, April 7, 1930 to Moises and Carmen Levario.
She was a life long resident of Santa Paula, except for the 6 years after high
school when she lived in Los Angeles to attend college and work. After moving
back to Santa Paula, she worked as a teller at Bank of America.
Hortensia is survived by her daughter Lydia, her son Benjamin and her
grandchildren Levi and Leslie. She is also survived by her sisters Rachel
Bustillos, Mary Lou White, Ruth Avila and Christina Mauricio. She is preceded in
death by her parents, Moises and Carmen Levario, her husband Joseph
Gonzalez and her sister Frances Limon.
To many who knew her, Hortensia will be remembered for her sweet nature, shy
smile, her generosity and her great memory. She also made amazing tacos!
Funeral services will be held at 11AM, August 26, 2024 at El Buen Pastor United
Methodist Church in Santa Paula. Burial immediately following at Pierce
Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to El
Buen Pastor United Methodist Church
