Juan Lara

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juan Lara, age 82 of Santa Paula, Ca who passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.

His battle showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and laughter. Despite the pain, Juan stayed strong until the end. He was born on August 17, 1938 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Pedro and Maria Lara. He worked alongside the United Farm Workers and American labor leader and civil rights activist, Cesar Chavez. Juan has always been committed to providing for his family through numerous occupations and was a dedicated father and husband.

He worked as a production supervisor with Rico International Imports for 20 years, displaying great diligence and dedication to solving problems. Juan also worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain for more than 30 years in food service. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; playing cards with family, gardening, and spending time with his Sons and Grandchildren.

He is survived by his Wife of 50 years, Raquel Lara; their three Sons; Juan Joel, Guillermo, Yrael Lara; three Daughter in Laws and his Grandchildren; Isaiah, Isaac, Irene, and Isabella. He also leaves behind his siblings, nieces and nephews.

Me and my husband Antonio remember when we would go over to their home on 4th street in Fillmore and have a good time with the family.These good memories will always stay in our hearts 💕.
