Paula Garcia Hernandez

Paula Garcia Hernandez, 85 of Santa Paula, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, after a brief stay at Community Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family. Mrs. Hernandez was born on March 2, 1937, in Ventura but was a lifelong resident of Santa Paula.

Paula graduated from Santa Paula High School. Paula was a loving wife, homemaker, and dedicated mother. Paula worked for Calavo where she ultimately retired affording her the ability to take part in her favorite pastimes of traveling and shopping. Paula enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially around the holidays making sure everyone was well-fed.

Mrs. Hernandez was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Hernandez, her parents Francisco and Juana Garcia, and her siblings Jesus Garcia, Ruth Aguilar, Albert Garcia, Frank Garcia, Delia Martinez, and Jennie Aguirre. Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her children Benjie (wife Paradee) Hernandez, and Julie (husband Joe) Dugas, grandchildren Ben Hernandez, and Ronnie (wife Lori) Sanchez; great-grandchildren Lillian, Aeva, and Estella Hernandez; siblings Rosalio Garcia, Esther Estrada, Eloise Garcia, and Carmen Cabral.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 6th from 8:00 am to 11:30 am, with Rosary at 11:30 am, followed by Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Santa Paula, 128 S. 8th St., Santa Paula; burial will follow at Santa Paula Cemetery.
