Born in Reedley, California to George Sr. and Stella Garcia, Ricky was the eldest of four brothers and grew up with a strong sense of responsibility and love for his family. His early years were spent in Santa Paula, where he attended Santa Paula High School and was an active member of the track team. Later in life, he made his home in Santa Monica, a place he cherished deeply—especially the beach and pier where he often found peace and joy.
A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Ricky served four years aboard an aircraft carrier, demonstrating his enduring dedication to service and country. After his military service, he built a career in electronics as a skilled fiber optic technician.
Ricky's faith was the cornerstone of his life; he found strength and comfort in reading the Bible and was deeply committed to his spiritual journey. An avid outdoorsman, Ricky loved fishing and spending time in nature, often sharing his passion with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, George Garcia Sr. Ricky is survived by his loving mother, Stella Garcia; his brothers Fred (Mary) Garcia, George Jr. (Lisa) Garcia, and Mark (Carmen) Garcia; his three beloved children; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
