Robert Andrew Quiroz passed away on August 19, 2015 from a brief illness in Ventura, CA. Born to a Santa Paula ranching family in 1937, Robert (aka Bob) Quiroz became a teacher of History and Spanish for the Ventura Unified School District from 1960 until his retirement in 1990. Bob was also a member of the American Genealogical Society. An avid woodworker, WWII history buff and lover of military ships and aircraft, Bob was well known for his work in scale model reproductions in wood of many of our most famous American military war ships and airplanes, as well as for presenting friends with handcrafted clocks and personalized nameplates in wood. Bob will be dearly missed by his close friends and family. He will be laid to rest at Santa Paula Cemetery Wednesday, September 2nd at 11:00 a.m.
