

Victoria McCausland Gonzalez
Victoria McCausland Gonzalez, 76, of Monte Rio, CA, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 24th, 2022 at her home overlooking the Russian River. She was beloved by many & will be greatly missed.
She was born on August 14, 1945 in Petaluma, Ca, to Sidney & Elleanor McCausland. She is survived by her two sons Manuel (Manny) & Mariano, her daughter Cecilia, her brother Sidney, four grandchildren Viviana, Cassara (Cassie), Adan & Taylor, her daughters in law Genoa & Joan & many extended family members & friends from her community. Her youngest son, Mathew Gonzalez preceded her in passing.
Victoria was raised in Northern California as a child, then moved to Peoria, Illinois for High School. She attended college at University of Wisconsin before moving to San Francisco, Ca where she met her husband Manolo. She worked with him on founding the Bay Area Association for Alternative Education, an adult learning center. She then worked as a foreign accounts manager for Wells Fargo Bank, an accountant for Grace Cathedral & an accountant for the Episcopal Diocese of California. She eventually separated from Manolo and became more active with Church activities & volunteering. She relocated to Guerneville, Ca where she lived with her dear friend Cathy. She then moved to Monte Rio, while still working as an accountant for her son Manuel (Manny) in his construction business until she finally retired in 2021.
She was a strong believer in spiritual growth, faith, social justice & dedication to helping others. She was actively involved in extensive church & volunteering efforts throughout her life. Her true passion in life was dedicating time to charitable causes & participating in making the world a better place. Over the years of her life she was an active member & volunteer for Good Samaritan Episcopal Church of San Francisco, St Peters Parish of SF, Episcopal Sanctuary for the Homeless of SF, The Mercy Associates & Sisters of Mercy of Burlingame, St Elizabeth’s Church of Guerneville, St Vincent De Paul’s Food Bank of Russian River & countless other church & charitable associations. She pursued training in Reiki & Capacitar body healing to help others with physical ailments & inner trauma.
She enjoyed spending time with her family & friends, watching San Francisco 49ers and Giants games, watching movies, attending plays or musicals & watching the birds fly amongst the trees over the Russian River on her back patio at home.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday June 18th at 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth’s Outdoor Church, 16290 Fifth Street, Guerneville CA (enter behind fire dept). Reception to follow at St. Huberts Hall. Her urn will be placed at Chapel of The Chimes Cemetery in Santa Rosa.
