Bernice Thompson Johnson, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 23, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents; William C. and Ethel Beech Thompson, brother; Bernie Thompson, Melvin Thompson, Leonard Thompson and sister, Jackie Baxter. Mrs. Johnson was employed for several years with WALA and retired after 42 years of service with WKRG Television Station as a copywriter and receptionist. Mrs. Johnson will be remembered for her love of family and animals. She is survived by her daughter Tiffany Johnson and brother, Donald Thompson and his wife, Jean. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saraland, AL.
