Mrs. Betty Strickland Woodson, age 75, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Leonard Woodson, parents William and Virgie Strickland. Mrs. Woodson was employed for many years in the transportation industry as a secretary. She is survived by her daughter Susan W. Walters (Garry) and grandchildren Danielle Watkins (Matt) and Madison Walters. She is also survived by her brother Ed Strickland (Marilyn), sisters Cynthia Boothe (Jim), and Sandra Campbell (Kent) , great-grandchildren, Chloe, Emma, Maggie, nieces, nephews , other family, special friends, Teresa Brackin and Sam Burns. The family would like to express their appreciation for the love and care shown Betty by caregivers Amy Pertuit, Mary Prescott and the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospice, especially Laura. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Valhalla Cemetery.
