Jean Brown Lind - age 73, born in South Carolina on February 21, 1939, and a lifelong resident of Saraland departed this life on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. She was a beautiful woman who loved to have company over to share a cup of coffee and show off her collection of more than 3000 salt and pepper shakers. Mrs. Lind was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years, Norman A. Lind. She is survived by her children, Brian Keith Lind (Dana) and Brenda Lind; grandchildren, Alicia Gail Lind (Dewey), Brandon Keith Lind (Carlie), and Brooke Nicole Lind; two beautiful great-granddaughters, Madison Danielle Lind and Miracle Elaine Lind; sisters, Melva Long and Jerrie Freeman (Marvin); brothers, Jackie Brown (Marcella) and Tommy Brown (Linda); nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends that she loved dearly. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Friday, January 25, 2013, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service hour.
