Calvin Murray "Bubba" Beverly

Calvin Murray “Bubba” Beverly – a 65 year-old native of Mobile and resident of Saraland passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010.. Mr. Beverly retired from Bender Shipbuilding as a project manager after 28 years of service. He was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Navy, had been a member of Chickasaw Baptist Church since childhood, and was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Beverly was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude M. Beverly (Gwendolyn). He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jacquelyn Gibbs Beverly; daughter, Shannon Rhoades; step-son, Marcus E. Bailey (Sharon); sister, Gloria Beverly Newman; three grandchildren, Brian Keith Kuhn, Rachael Elizabeth Bailey, and Olivia Leigh Bailey; many other relatives and friends. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Sherri Arledge and the staff of the Southern Cancer Center. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Friday, March 26, 2010, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-2 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
