

Cecil L. Clarke – 84, of Saraland, AL died August 17, 2011. A native of Grove Hill, AL, he was born October 3, 1926. He was a World War II army veteran, retired from Scott Paper Company, and as a Christian, was a longtime member and Deacon of Bayou Sara Baptist Church. Mr. Clarke is preceded in death by his parents, John and Flossie Clarke; three brothers, John, Curry, and Graham; and two sisters, Louise and Marie. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eloise Browning Clarke; three daughters, Jill (Tom) Baxter of Saraland, AL; Terrie Myers of Chickasaw, AL, and Laura Clarke (Bobby Frost) of Mobile, AL; three grandchildren, Matt (Robin) Baxter, Nikki (JR) Wittner, and Travis Myers; three great-grandchildren, Trevor, Trent, and Joshalyn Baxter; six sisters, Margie Monroy of San Jose, CA, Myrtie Morgan of Annapolis, NC, Emma Jean Harvell, Eloise Wilson, Retha Campbell, and Catherine Harrell; and two brothers, Rev. Percy Clarke and Murphy Clarke, all of Grove Hill, AL. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Saturday, August 20, 2011, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 19, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
