Born on April 1st, 1937, in Coffeeville, Alabama, he was the son of the late Bannie and Alma Chancey. Charles lived a long life rooted in family, and he will be remembered for the love he carried for those closest to him.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Edward Chancey Jr., and longtime companion, Louise Mosley. He leaves behind his daughter, Debra Montgomery, and his son, Gary Chancey, multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces, who will continue to carry his memory forward.
His presence, guidance, and steady spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Charles's life was a testament to enduring love and the importance of family, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571, on April 27, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Committal Service will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 10000 Celeste Rd, Saraland, AL 36571.
