Charles Clifford Sneed

Charles Clifford Sneed, age 70, of Saraland, Alabama passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019. Charles was born September 14, 1948 in Pensacola, Florida to Marjorie Brown Sneed and George Washington Sneed. Charles was a graduate of Pensacola High School, Pensacola Junior College, and studied Business Administration at University of West Florida. He started his own business, pioneering jean and denim shops in the Fort Walton Beach area. He then went on to have a highly successful career in home furnishing sales, retiring from Barrow Furniture in 2010. Mr. Sneed was a member of Destination Church where he was a part of the Trail Blazers group. He was a veteran of the United States Army and Army National Guard.

Charles is survived by his wife, Mary Kathryn Sneed; sons, Jason Sneed, Darren (Melissa) Sneed and Michael (Adrienne) Sneed; brother, Stanley (Debra) Sneed; grandson, Theodore Sneed; step-children, Amanda Barbarow and Aaron Sims; friends, Mike and Vickie Taylor, Bill Miller, Angela Holliday, Steve Schreiweis; and other relatives and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Elaine Sneed; father, George Washington Sneed; and mother, Marjorie Brown Sneed.

A visitation for Charles will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Destination Church, 1601 Celeste Rd, Saraland, Alabama 36571. A celebration of life will occur Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM, 1601 Celeste Rd, Saraland, Alabama 36571. An interment will occur at Creola Cemetery, Creola, Alabama.

Serving as pallbearers are Michael Sneed, Darren Sneed, Bill Miller, Michael Taylor, Steve Schreiweis, Terry Smith, Roger Dearmon, Gerald Kelly, Tommy Webb, Angela Holladay, Judy Lewis, Shelley Killcreas, Sue Smith and Ruby Tindle.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care that was received from the Mobile Infirmary Coronary Care Unit nursing Staff, special thanks to Justin. Also, thank you Dr. Stanley Thornton for the excellent and compassionate care that you gave to our Charlie (Dad). Forever grateful for Charlie's loving and supportive church family.
