
Claude Wayne Eaton, a gentle man who loved and served the Lord, joined his Savior March 20, 2013 at the age of 65. He was born in Gulfport, MS. He resided in Chunchula, AL. After completing high school at Sumrall, he graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. He was employed by Puckett Lab in Hattiesburg for a number of years before moving to Satsuma, AL and continued employment in the chemical industry at Ciba Geigy before retiring from Huntsman of McIntosh, AL. He was a member of numerous chemical societies, including the American Association of Chemists. He enjoyed teaching new techniques and exploring and developing new computer programs. Wayne was an avid carpenter and took delight in refinishing and building furniture and other wood products. He gardened with vegetables and flowers and was happy to show his fruit and unique flowers and plants. Wayne was happiest with his sons and their families. He felt honored to have four Christian, family oriented and caring sons. He was proud to relate their love and accomplishments in life and their remaining dedication to family. He loved his brother Ray and nephews Scott Eaton and family of Sumrall, MS, and Chris Eaton and family of Petal, MS.
Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Jessie Lloyd Eaton, and special cousin, David Williamson of Sumrall, MS, and Aunt Joyce of Gulfport, MS.
Wayne's gentle manor, Christian faith, and honesty will be missed by his surviving family of Ruth, wife of 36 years, loving and faithful sons, Rocky Wayne, wife Shelia, daughters McKay and Macy, of Petal, MS; Jessie Neil, wife Christine, daughter Lauralyn of Mobile, AL; Robert Layne of Chunchula, AL; Captain Steven Allen(U S Army) of Midland, GA. His mother Claudelle Graves Eaton, resides in Hattiesburg, MS and his brother Ray Lloyd, wife Linda Faye, lives in Hattiesburg, MS. He is also survived by caring aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.
Visitation will be at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, AL on Friday, March 22 from 4pm to 8pm. Final visitation will be at Hulett Winstead of Hattiesburg, MS on Saturday, March 23 from 10 am to 12 pm with burial at Highland Park in Hattiesburg, MS.
