After a career in the U.S. Navy, Danny worked at Austal Shipbuilding. From there, he owned and operated his construction business. He was a devoted husband, son, grandfather and brother. His life was a ministry of helps. He was recently called into the pastoral ministry and served at Whistler United Methodist Church for the past year and a half.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Smith Stevens; his father, Otis Maxwell Stevens; sister, Susiette Dowd; brother, Glenn Russell Stevens; and his grandmother, Juliette Boltin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Trawick Stevens; one son, Christopher (Elyn) Stevens; two grandsons, Zaiden and Liam; one sister, Juliette Watson; uncle, Bobby Smith; and nephew, Terry Watson, Jr.; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 12 p.m. from Whistler United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 11 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Wolf Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements are by Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy., Saraland, AL 36571.
