David F. Jemison – a 68 year-old resident of Chickasaw passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016. Mr. Jemison retired from the federal court as a court clerk after many years of service. He loved hunting with family and friends and watching his grandsons play baseball. Mr. Jemison was preceded in death by his first wife, Julie Lomax Jemison, and brother, Dudley Jemison. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Jemison; children, Jana Barber (Doug) and Brad Jemison; grandchildren, Grant Barber, Jeb Barber, Morgan Jemison, and Marylaine Jemison; sisters, Cherry Acuff (Phillip), Toni Stokley (Gene), and Sandra Bush (Ron); many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at a family home on Saturday, August 20. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society .
