Doyle Franklin Aplin

Doyle Franklin Aplin, 82, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 in Mobile, Alabama. Doyle was born on April 9, 1940 to Nettie Thompson Aplin and Sam Aplin. He graduated from Fairhope High School in 1958. Doyle was a member of the Army National Guard from 1965-1971.

Doyle was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Vic Davis. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elsie Maples Aplin; his son, Ron Aplin (Nia) of Wake Forest NC; his daughter, Lisa Bradford (Wade) of Gulf Shores, AL and affectionately known as “Popi” to 5 Grandchildren; Lauren Bradford, Megan Bradford, Grant Bradford, Emma Aplin and Brooke Aplin; sisters, Jean Wilson (Charles) and Sue McGill as well as nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life will be held graveside on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 1:00 pm on the grounds of Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Saraland, Alabama.
