Earline Bryant Beahn

Earline Bryant Beahn – 81, born June 13, 1934 in Prichard, AL and a resident of Saraland since 1935, passed away at her home on Monday, February 29, 2016. Mrs. Beahn was the valedictorian of the Vigor High School Class of 1952. As a young lady, she was employed as an operator with the telephone company. She and her husband were the longtime owners of Beahn’s Body Shop in Saraland. Mrs. Beahn was a charter member of Shiloh Baptist Church and a former member of Memorial Baptist Church where she read and taught the Bible to a children’s daycare class. Always civic minded, she volunteered her time a t the Senior Center in Citronelle, served as a poll worker in Saraland, and worked for Judge Charles Graddick’s campaign when he ran for governor. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Beahn was preceded in death by her parents, James Artis and Bessie Marie Bentley Bryant; and sisters, Mazie Nell Stokes (Winston) and her twin, Ernestine Bryant Reece (Edward). She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Harold Roy Beahn, Sr.; children, Harold Roy Beahn, Jr., Robert Earl Beahn (Kathy), and Mary Ann Beahn Conner (David); grandchildren, Stephanie Nichole Beahn, Tiffany Marie Beahn, Eric Beahn, Hanna Elizabeth Williams (Aaron), and Nicholas Robert Beahn; great-granddaughter, Amelia Wheeler; sister, Bonnie Marie Genest (Edward); best friends, Shirley Ellison and Honey Nichols; many other relatives and friends. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the Senior Center in Saraland, Memorial Baptist Church, Shiloh Baptist Church, and the staff of Gentiva Hospice for all of their care and support.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Wednesday, March 2, 2015, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
