Edward Lamar Hawkins, age 86, passed away at his home in Saraland, AL. on Thursday, August 24, 2017. A loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather who served his country proudly in the United States Navy.
He is preceded in death by his wife Wilda Hawkins, parents Mark and Vestra Crenshaw Hawkins. Three brothers and a sister. Survived by daughters Delite H. (Ricky) Stephens and Reba Lee Kilpatrick. Grandchildren Nevada (Darlene) Hilliard, Dewayne (Jenny) Hilliard, Shannon Hawkins, Alisha Griffin and Christy (Steven) Cooper. Eight great grandchildren, loving nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 27 from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Radney Funeral Home 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 2:00p.m. from the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. George Randy Stephens and Bro. Steven Ray Perry. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
