

Elizabeth (Bess) Biggs Glenos, after suffering a brief illness, departed this life and entered the presence of her Lord on September 11, 2013. Bess was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 16, 1955 and moved to Daytona Beach, Florida with her family in 1967, before locating to Mobile, Alabama in 1977. She has made Mobile her home for the past 36 years. Bess was a very sweet and loving person who enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and beloved dog Lorelei. Christmas with the family was one of her favorite times of year. She is an alumnus of the University of South Alabama, where she earned her degree in Psychology in 1994. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Glenos; and her father, Charles B. McCormick Sr. Bess will be missed by her loving son, Corey Biggs, who resides in Los Angeles, CA; her devoted mother, Barbara West; sister, Candace Anderson (Bobby); brother, Charles B. McCormick, Jr.; special friend and companion, Jonathan Knispel. She also shared her life with nephews, nieces and cousins. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Randy Dotson and all of the knowledgeable and caring nurses at Springhill Memorial Hospital who supported the family through this difficult time. There will be a memorial service to honor her life at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, AL on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 2 p.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Home of Grace, 394 Aldock Road, Eight Mile, AL 36613.
