Celebration of Life services for Emma LaVada Rush Blow, 91, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018, in the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, Alabama, 36571, with Bro. Dale Maddy of Shiloh Baptist Church, 717 Cleveland Road, Saraland, AL, 36571.
Interment will immediately follow in the grounds of Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama, 36605.
The family will be receiving guests for visitation Tuesday, November 20, 2018, from 1:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland.
Emma LaVada Rush Blow was born August 15, 1927, in Demopolis, Alabama, to the late Jesse Been and Sally Mabel Miller Rush. She was called to her Heavenly home November 17, 2018, in Chatom, Alabama, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Emma married the late Charles Eugene Blow in January of 1953 at Chickasaw Baptist Church where she was a lifelong member. She always held a joyous love for her church, life, family and friends. Emma would always hum the Hymn, Love Lifted Me. She will be missed dearly by those left behind to cherish her beautiful memories.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband of forty-four years, two sisters: Ruby Robinson, Jessie Faye Moor and, one brother; Charles Wesley Rush.
She leaves behind two children: Chuck Blow, J. Brian Blow and wife Sherry, a special niece; Sally Pehler and husband John, one brother; Robert Alvin Rush and wife Mireen, five grandchildren: Carey Abigail Blow, Charles Jeremiah Blow and wife Erin, Jessica Sullivan and husband Joe, J.J. Plemmons and wife Dorothy and Jeb Blow, six great-grandchildren: Bailey Davidson, Carter Blow, Hunter Blow, Brynlee Plemmons, Tristan Walker and Taylor Walker along with numerous precious family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Honoring Emma as pallbearers will be Jeb Blow, Jeremiah Blow, Greg Blow, Steve Carnathan, John Pehler and Bo Smith. Honorary pallbearer will be Bret Wildrick.
The family would like to extend their deepest and upmost sincerest gratitude to the staff of Washington County Nursing Home, 14600 Saint Stephens Avenue, Chatom, Alabama, 36518, and the Legacy Hospice staff for all of the care, compassion, support and dedicated services provided during their time of need.
