Francis Eugene Smith

Francis Eugene Smith, age 80, of Creola, Alabama passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019. Francis was born September 21, 1938 in Mobile, Alabama to Frances Byrd Smith and Clifford Smith. Francis is a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam.

Francis is survived by his brothers, Fred Donald Smith, Clinton (Delores) Smith, and Glynn (Jan) Smith; sister, Anita (Otis) Lister; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Francis was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Smith; mother, Frances Byrd Smith; and sisters, Afton and Delores.

A visitation for Francis will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Creola United Methodist Church, 112 James Burkett Ln, Creola, Alabama 36525. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Creola Cemetery, Creola, Alabama.

Serving as pallbearers are Josh Fillingim, Doug Smith, Donald Lister, Jackie Lister, Logan Stringfellow, Clifford Kelly, and Matt Hogan.
