

Frankie Woodyard Havard, 85, a native of Leroy, Ala., and resident of Chickasaw for over 63 years passed away September 14, 2017 at a local hospital. She retired from Alabama Dry Dock after 38 year’s service, to later become a loving, caretaker of her big family. Frankie enjoyed her family and activities like the square dancing of old days, her church, her many trips with her husband and the different luncheons they participated in. She was always ready to help when needed in anything, especially on meals for her church, First Baptist Church Chickasaw, where she has been a member for over 60 years. She had such a precious and sweet personality, who loved everyone in her quiet way, especially all her family. She showed by example of a Godly woman who loved the Lord and treasured all those around her. All who knew her loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 63 years, Luther Havard. Son Danny (Terri) Havard, daughter Teresa (David) Lewis. Six grandchildren: Cody Havard, Cole Havard, Christin (Jamie) Ferguson, Suzanne (Dusty) Lewis, Lauren (Jacob) Lewis, Trevor Lewis. Six great-grandchildren: Ty Ferguson, Luke Ferguson, Parker Lewis, Paisley Lewis, Preston Lewis, and Kipton Lewis. Siblings: Louise Ward of Jackson, Catherine (Jack) Trott of Saraland, George (Ann) Woodyard of Choctaw, OK, Flora Lee (Roger) Pettis of Leroy, Mary Emma (Gerald) Guy of Leroy, Joe (Donna) Woodyard of Leroy. Also many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The wake will be held Sunday, September 17, 5:00 – 8:00 at First Baptist Church Chickasaw. Funeral will be held Monday September 18 at 1:00 from First Baptist Church Chickasaw with interment at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
