George, fondly known as Paw Paw, was born to Cora Beatrice Knowles and Ellis Paul Hull on May 17, 1944, in Coral Gables, Florida. He grew up in Miami, Florida and when he was 17 years old, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. George honorably served his country as a Marine that included three tours in the Vietnam War. After serving three tours in Vietnam and at the end of his enlistment, he then transferred to the United States Air Force where he retired after 20 years of service. While serving in the military, George went to school at night to earn his Bachelor’s degree and ultimately his Master’s degree from Troy University.
George is survived by his wife Linda and two children, Donna Sizemore (Ben) and Cherie Jarvis (Richard). He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Bryan Craine (Kate), Tre Sizemore, Seth Sizemore (Brittany), Sydney Sizemore, Lizzie Jarvis, Sammy Jarvis, and Becky Jarvis. He is survived by four great grandchildren.
He was a talented photographer who loved taking pictures of his family, events, nature, and trains. Aside from his love for photography and trains, George was passionate about giving back. He was always the first to say, “That is what family is for.” He would give a person the shirt off his back. From joining the team of Ushers and Greeters at The River church, taking kids to school or picking them up, or even running an errand, he always gave in any way he could to his family and friends. He was a one-of-a-kind human being and he will be greatly missed.
George’s family will host a funeral service on Tuesday, November 21st from 8:30 -9:30 am at Radney’s Funeral Home located at 1200 Industrial Pkwy Saraland, AL 36571.
