Gerald Wayne Cooper, 66 of Wilmer, Al was born on October 14, 1954. He passed away peacefully at home with his family on August 2, 2021. Gerald is preceded in death by his parents James Rex Cooper, Sr. and Lillie Janell Cooper and brother Ronnie Cooper.
He leaves behind his family to cherish his memory; Tommy (Barbara) Cooper, Jimmy (Lisa) Cooper, Mike (Kelly) Cooper, Johnny (Kim) Cooper and Angie (Curt) Wood. He is also survived by his 8 nephews, 8 nieces, 9 great-nephews, 14 great-nieces and 1 great-great nephew.
Gerald loved his Alabama Football, singing gospel music with his momma and loved his big big parties. He loved his family, even his brothers that loved to aggrevate him just to hear him say stop.
On behalf of the family, we would like to say a special thank you to Barbara Cooper. She was more than his sister-in-law; she took care of Gerald after his mother passed as if he were her own. You went above and beyond showing the love you have for him. We would also like to thank Southern Care in Mobile for their loving care for Gerald.
