Ida Imogene "Peggy" Perry Slater - Born August 31, 1942 to Sibley Holmes Perry and Dovie Ree "Tiny" Neugent in Jackson, AL, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen Slater, Sr. She is survived by two sons, Robert Allen (Judy) Slater, Jr., Mobile, AL and Owen Perry (Tiffany) Slater, Ocean Springs, MS; one daughter, Julie Slater Moore, Montgomery, AL; two sisters, Rachel Wilson and Judy Hurst, both of Jackson, AL; three brothers, Sibley (Era) Perry, Theodore, AL, James (Carol) Perry, Pace, FL and Joe (Terri) Perry, Granbury, TX; four grandchildren, Allen Moore, Rebecca Holden, Dustin Lawrence and Kayla Foster; four step-grandchilden, Johnny Moore, Charlie Moore and Jimmy Copeland; one great-great-grandchild, Abby Lynn Moore; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Mt. Vernon Community Cemetery.
