Affectionately known as Dinky to family and friends, she married the love of her life, William Arthur Keebler, on May 27, 1976. Together they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family, quickly beginning the journey of raising their children.
Dinky devoted her professional life to social work, where she provided care to many children in the foster care system at St. Mary’s Home for Children. Her greatest calling, however, was her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. She loved her children fiercely and made sure they never doubted how deeply they were cherished. Her home was always filled with laughter, and a good meal, and her husband and boys were well fed and well loved.
She had a special place in her heart for animals, a sharp wit, and a sense of humor. Dinky loved to laugh and share jokes.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son, William Arthur Keebler, Jr.; her adoptive parents, Ottie L. Cochran and Evelyn Cochran; biological parents, Irman Cochran and Frances Croom; siblings, Jack (Sue) Cochran, Dianthe Cochran, Theresa (Donnie) Jordan, and Linda Gail Nunez; and nieces and nephews, Bubba Cochran, Carla Turner, and Sonny Cochran.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of nearly 50 years, William Keebler; her sons J.T. (Heather) Keebler and Lafe (Amber) Keebler; grandchildren, Lainey (Hunter) Keebler, Braxton Keebler, Brayden Keebler, T.J. Keebler, and Dalton Keebler; great-grandson, Bryson Tolbert; her brother Steve (Helen) Cochran; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
