Jackie "Jack" Berlin Seals, age 83, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones after a long fight to cancer. He was the widower of Dottie Lou Bentley. They shared 62 years of marriage together. He was born December 28, 1934, in Whistler, Al. to Louvern Seals and Ollie Grandquest. He was retired from Union 112 as a Boilermaker for many years. He was a member and also served as Deacon of West Chickasaw Baptist Church. He was an auxiliary policeman and coached softball in the City of Chickasaw. Jack was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed reading westerns, watching Alabama Football "Roll Tide", playing Dominos with family, or working on boat engines. He will be greatly missed by family and friends for his sense of humor, and telling jokes or pulling a prank on someone.
He was survived by his children, Janice (Anthony) Lumpkin, Carl "Bo" (Cheryl) Seals, Susan (Tim) Wint, Jenny (Jay) Goodson; his grandchildren, Jackie Phillips, Jonathan Jones, Dwayne Seals, Chrissy (Patrick) Flynn, Randy (Dee) Duhon, Rebekah (Jose) Felix, Jacob Wint, Kenzley Wint, Daniel and Bryce Brocato; his great-grandchildren, Justin, Kerian, Eli, Ellanora, and Charlie; his brothers, John, Joe, and Donnie Grandquest, his sister, Henrietta Knight, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dottie Lou Seals, parents Louvern Seals and Ollie Grandquest, stepfather Donald Grandquest, grandparents John and Jennie Seals, brothers Lou M. Seals and Herbert H. Seals Sr., daughter-n-law Cheryl Seals.
A visitation will occur Monday, June 25, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, Alabama 36571. A funeral service will occur Monday, June 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, Alabama 36571. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 10000 Celeste Rd, Saraland, Alabama 36571-8732. Rev. Anthony Lumpkin will officiate.
