James Edgar Carney

James Edgar Carney – an 84 year-old resident of Creola passed away May 25, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennivee Carney, and brother, Delmar Carney. Mr. Carney is survived by his siblings, Bertie Roberts (Garland) and Wendil Carney (Jean); sister-in-law, Cecile Carney; children, Shirley Reed (Leslie), Kathie Harris, Dana Ray Carney (Vicki) and Jimmie Carney; grandchildren, including Tammy Jackson (Darrell), Dean Read (Charlotte), Jason Harris (Mandy), Lee Harris (Kelly), Stacey Carney, Rebecca Harris (Richie), Julie, Joy, and Jean Carney; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Kristen Jackson, Hunter and Haylee Harris, Josh Harris, Shaina Carney, Seth Walker, Thomas and Taylar Harris; nieces nephews, and other relatives. The family would like to give a very special thanks to the staff members of Eight Mile Nursing Home for all of their care and support. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the service hour. Interment will be in Creola Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the men’s Sunday school class at Creola Assembly of God.
