Mrs. Janet Leigh Franklin Boone, age 58, native of Laurel, MS and resident of Satsuma, AL, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 after a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Franklin and Bobbie Jean Hodge Rowell and her grandparents. She was a member of Bayou Sara Baptist Church for many years. Janet is survived by her husband of 41 years, Tom Boone, children Carey Johnson and husband Lee and Ryan Boone and wife Heidi. She is also survived by her siblings, Ben Franklin (Marlene), Mike Franklin, Corlis Cockrell, Lori Brett and grandchildren, Landon, Carter and Reid Johnson and Sophie Boone. A memorial service will be held at Bayou Sara Baptist Church on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home in her memory.
