Jimmie Deaton, age 69 of Satsuma, Alabama passed away on December 31, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 30, 1955, Jimmie lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure and cherished memories. Jimmie was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially the great outdoors. He had a deep passion for hunting and fishing, spending countless hours in nature where felt most at peace.
In his younger years, Jimmie found joy in coaching youth football and baseball and he carried that passion into his family life, sharing his wisdom and guidance with his children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to know him.
An avid Alabama football fan, Jimmie was known for his unwavering support of the Crimson Tide, his Saturdays often marked by the joyful call of "Roll Tide!" Above all, Jimmie's greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his wife, Nita and children; Jason, Jeremy, Thomas, Timothy and Denee. He is also survived by his sister Carol and was the beloved grandfather of 11 grandchildren--Kate, Madelyn, Cassidy, Nathan, Chance, Cooper, Abby, Luka, Olivia, Sadie and Benny--each of whom brought him immense joy and pride. Jimmie also loved his dogs.
Jimmie will be remembered for his kind heart, his adventurous spirit and the steadfast love he showed to those around him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, as well as in the many lives he touched.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, Alabama. Graveside services will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Saraland, Alabama, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
