John Lamar Pope

John Lamar Pope, age 67, of Eight Mile, Alabama passed away on Thursday May 17, 2018. John was born October 16, 1950 in Mississippi. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his daughter Heather (Bradley) Simpson, sons; John (Lacy) Pope, Jr., Karl (Deann) Taylor. Sisters; Rosemary Sheffield and Janis (Donnie) Savage, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A visitation for John will be held Friday, May 25, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571. A graveside service will occur Friday, May 25, 2018 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Alabama State Veterans Cemetery, 34904 State Hwy 225, Spanish Fort, AL 36527. A burial will occur at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort, Alabama.
